The short answer

The general repair page. Start here when something is leaking, dripping, draining slowly or has stopped working and you are not sure which specialist you need. We diagnose first and price the work before it starts.

Most repair calls are one of these

If your problem is on this list, you are in the right place. If it is a specific system, the links further down go straight to it.

  • A dripping or seized faucet, or a valve that no longer shuts off
  • A toilet that runs, rocks, weeps at the base or will not flush properly
  • A slow drain, a gurgling drain or a drain that has stopped
  • No hot water, not enough hot water, or a water heater making noise
  • Water pressure that is too low, too high or inconsistent
  • A visible leak at a fitting, a supply line or a shut off valve
  • A water bill that jumped with no change in how you use water
  • A hose bib, laundry box or irrigation connection that leaks
If water is running right now

Shut it off before you read any further. Most fixtures have their own shut off valve within reach, and the house has a main shut off. Our emergency plumbing page shows where to look for both in a typical valley home.

What a repair visit covers

The principle is the same across every job: find the cause, then price the fix, then do it.

What is included in a plumbing repair visit
StageWhat you get
DiagnosisWe find out what is actually wrong rather than replacing the most obvious part. On plenty of calls this is the whole value of the visit.
The explanationWhat failed, why it failed and whether it is likely to happen again. In plain language.
The number, before the workYou hear the price and agree to it before anything is taken apart.
The repairDone with the right part. Where the right part is not on the van, you get told the timeline rather than a bodge.
A test under real conditionsRun, loaded and checked. A repair that works once is not a repair.
What we noticedAnything else worth knowing gets reported, with an honest note on whether it is urgent, worth planning for, or fine to leave.

How it works

How it works

  1. Describe the symptom

What it is doing, where, and when it started. Photographs help more than descriptions for anything visible.

    On the call
  2. Diagnose on site

The cause gets identified before any price is quoted, because a price without a diagnosis is a guess with a number attached.

    On arrival
  3. Agree the work

You get the scope and the number, and you decide. If there is a cheaper option that is also correct, you hear about it.

    Before work starts
  4. Repair and verify

Fixed, tested under load, area left clean.

    Same visit where parts allow

If the honest answer is that a repair is not worth doing, you get that answer. Some fixtures and appliances are cheaper to replace than to chase.

What decides the price of plumbing repair

No rate or range for this work is published anywhere on this site, because none has been confirmed for publication for this business. What follows is the honest version: what actually moves the number on a job like this, so you can read any quote and judge it.

What you get from the call

Describe what is happening and you will hear what it usually means, what the repair involves and what somebody needs to see before quoting it. That happens whether or not you book the work.

What moves the number on this job

  • Access. The same repair costs very different amounts behind a cabinet, inside a wall, under a slab or four feet down in a yard. Access is usually the largest single variable.
  • Repair or replace. A cartridge is a part. A failed tank, exhausted softener resin or brittle polybutylene is a replacement, and no amount of repair spend fixes those.
  • Parts, and whether they still exist. A common cartridge is cheap and on the van. A control head for a discontinued softener is neither.
  • Permit and inspection, where the work needs them. A water heater replacement, a repipe and sewer work are permitted and inspected in this valley. That is real time and real cost, and work done without it turns up later in a buyer inspection.
  • Diagnosis time. Finding a hidden leak is a separate skill from fixing it, and on a slab leak the locating is most of the job. Paying for it is cheaper than exploratory demolition.

What to ask whoever quotes you

  • Which of the five things above is driving this number.
  • Is this a repair or a replacement, and what made you choose.
  • Does the price include the permit and the inspection, where the work needs one.
  • What is your Nevada contractor licence number. Plumbing is classification C-1, Plumbing and Heating, and the Nevada State Contractors Board register lets you check any licence in about a minute. Ask us the same question.

What people want to know first

Will you tell me the price before you start?

Yes. The sequence is diagnose, quote, agree, then work. What we will not do is quote a repair over the phone for a problem nobody has looked at, because that number would either be padded to cover the unknown or wrong.

Can you fix it on the first visit?

Often, where the part is a common one. Where it is not, you get a realistic timeline rather than a temporary fix presented as a repair.

Do you work on anything, or just certain brands?

We work across makes and models on general plumbing and on water treatment equipment. We do not describe ourselves as an authorised service centre for any manufacturer, so if your equipment is inside a manufacturer warranty, check that route first.

Checkable, not claimed

We have no reviews to show you yet, so here is verifiable fact instead

A new site with a wall of glowing testimonials should make you suspicious, and this one does not have them because no review corpus has been verified for this brand. Rather than fill the space with invented quotes, these are three things about your water and your county that you can check against the agency that published them.

Your water is 291 ppm, and that is not our opinion

The Las Vegas Valley Water District publishes valley tap water at 291 parts per million, 17 grains per gallon, and categorises it as very hard. It is the reason fixtures and water heaters here do not last as long as the box promised.

Read the water district page

Softening is a preference, not a health need

The Southern Nevada Water Authority states that removing calcium and magnesium softens water but is not a necessity to protect your health. Any company telling you otherwise is contradicting the agency that tests your supply.

Photography note

These are illustrations and diagrams, not photographs of our work. No job photography, before and after pair, van, uniform or team photograph appears anywhere on this site, because we do not have verified photographs of this company work yet and generating them would fabricate evidence about a real business. Real job photography is on the list to add.

Calling about Plumbing repair? Say that first and we can skip straight to the questions that matter for it. Something else? Pick it from every service we cover.

  • Where you areThe address, and a cross street if the address is new or hard to find. Which end of the valley you are on decides who is closest.
  • What is happening, in your own wordsNo plumbing vocabulary needed. "Water under the sink since this morning" is a better description than a guess at the cause.
  • Whether water is running right nowThis is the question that changes everything else. If it is, say so first and we will talk you to the shutoff before anything else.
  • What you have already triedPlunged it, reset the disposal, flipped the breaker, ran the softener through a regeneration. It saves repeating the steps that did not work.
  • Whether you own or rentA landlord or an HOA sometimes has to authorise the work, and it is better to find that out on the phone than at the door.

Water pouring right now? Do not read the rest of this. Call (725) 255-9011 and shut off the supply while it rings.

Plumbing repair questions

What should I do before the plumber arrives?

If water is running, shut off the fixture valve or the main. Clear access to the area, and move anything valuable away from where water has been. Photographs of the problem before you clean up are genuinely useful, particularly for an insurance claim.

How do I know if a repair or a replacement is better?

It turns on three things: the age of the item, the cost of the failed part as a share of a new one, and whether this is the first failure or the third. We will show you where your item sits on all three rather than leading with the bigger number.

Do you handle small jobs?

Yes. A single dripping valve or a running toilet is a normal call and does not need to be bundled with anything.

Are you licensed?

Plumbing in Nevada is licensed under classification C-1, Plumbing and Heating, by the Nevada State Contractors Board. You should ask any contractor for their licence number and check it on the board register before work begins, and that includes us. We do not publish a licence number on this site until the number shown has been verified against the registrar, because an unverified credential is worse than none.

Can hard water be causing my problem?

Frequently, yes. At 291 parts per million, 17 grains per gallon, valley water scales fixtures, seizes valve cartridges and shortens water heater life. If the same type of fixture keeps failing, hardness is worth considering as the underlying cause.
