The questions that decide a sewer job
Do I have to replace the whole line?
Often not. If the camera shows one defect in otherwise sound pipe, a spot repair is the proportionate fix. Full replacement is for collapsed, bellied or comprehensively failed lines. The footage is what settles it, which is why you should ask to see it.
Is trenchless always better?
It is better when digging is the expensive part, under a driveway, a mature tree or finished hardscape. It needs enough host pipe left to line against, and it is not automatically cheaper on a short, shallow, accessible run.
Will my yard be destroyed?
That depends on the method, which is exactly why the method conversation comes before the price conversation. Trenchless options exist specifically to avoid it, and reinstatement should be written into whatever you sign.
Does insurance cover this?
Sometimes, depending on your policy and the cause, and we are not in a position to tell you what your policy covers. What helps a claim is documentation: camera footage, a written scope and dated photographs, all of which we provide as a matter of course.
